The red-brown Teardrops is made from a single piece of the Parota trunk
Parota or Enterolobium cyclocarpum is the national tree of the Costa Rica. This wood has a density of 550 kg / m3, it is a medium hard wood. The heartwood is light to dark brown, sometimes with a reddish tinge with typical brown stripes.
